As Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Vlad oversees Liberty Mutual Investment’s (LMI) mission to create capital by managing Liberty Mutual's globally invested financial assets. Vlad joined Liberty Mutual in 2017 from Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo (GMO) where he served as the Head Portfolio Manager for the firm’s flagship Global Macro hedge fund, and as a senior member of the Asset Allocation team. Vlad began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he spent 13 years and held several leadership positions across proprietary investing businesses and the broader Securities division franchise. Vlad joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 2003 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2012. In 2021 Vlad was appointed President and CIO, following his roles as Head of Investment Strategy and Co-Head of Strategy and Asset Allocation for LMI. Thomas Smith is a portfolio manager and member of the emerging market debt team for MetLife Investment Management (MIM) Public Fixed Income. In this role he is a portfolio manager on the emerging market government bond strategy and the emerging market investment grade debt strategy. Thomas has been with MIM since 2012, originally joining MetLife in 2001. Prior to his current role, he was based in Latin America, serving as a regional strategist for Latin American sovereign credit, a global market strategist for MetLife Afore, and the head of research for LatAm financial institutions. Randy is Executive Sponsor of SLC Management’s Sustainable Investment Program, and a member of Sun Life’s International Sustainability Council responsible for implementing the global sustainability plan. Randy joined Sun Life at the start of 2016 and has more than three decades of investment management expertise at highly-respected global financial firms. Randy has held senior roles at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, most recently as Global Head of Insurance and Pension Solutions and as Head of Asset and Wealth Management for the UK region. Previously, he was Co-Chief Investment Officer of Deutsche Asset Management, responsible for a global investment staff of 750 and total assets of $1.2 trillion. Before the integration of Deutsche’s asset management and wealth management businesses, Randy was the head of its investment business managing money for insurance companies, with more than $200 billion of assets under management. Jake Meyer joined Swiss Re in January 2021 as a Senior Economist producing the macro-outlook for the United States and Canadian economies. Prior to joining Swiss Re he worked as a Quantitative Economist at UBS, focusing on quantitative research into and the development of methodologies for global macroeconomic forecasting and scenario analysis. Ms. Walsh is Chief Investment Officer for Fixed Income at Guggenheim Investments, the global asset management business of Guggenheim Partners, where she is responsible for meeting the investment needs of the firm’s fixed-income clients, including insurance companies, corporate and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, consultants, wealth managers, and high-net-worth investors.
