Aileen Mathieson joined Aspen in November 2021, as Group Chief Investment Officer. Aileen is based in our London office with regular visits to our Bermuda and New York offices. She brings more than 30 years of experience as a finance leader in a number of industry sectors, including more than 17 years in financial services and investments. Aileen is also an Advisory Board member of Rewired Earth.
Prior to Aspen, Aileen served at Aberdeen Standard Investments where she was Global Head of Insurance and at Zurich UK between 2014 and 2019 where Aileen was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Wealth Management. During her career, Aileen also held senior finance roles at Nucleus Financial Group plc, Standard Life Group, Diageo plc and EMI Music. ALFRED CHANG
Head of Residential Credit, MetLife Investment Management
Alfred Chang leads residential loan trading and portfolio strategy for the residential mortgage portfolio at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). In this role, he is responsible for the credit analysis, pricing, credit/compliance due diligence and contract finance required to trade mortgage loans. He is also responsible for determining relative value across whole loan investments as well as choosing the counterparties to source these investments.
Prior to joining MetLife in 2008, Chang was director of secondary marketing for MetLife Bank which included sales of non-agency mortgages that were originated by the bank. Roles prior to MetLife Bank ranged from directing master servicing to loan trading and transaction management. Across all of the above roles, Chang has over 20 years of mortgage experience.
Chang graduated from Texas Christian University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and is involved with various working groups within the Structured Finance Industry Group.

Andrew (Andy) Payne has more than 30 years of leadership experience in credit risk and portfolio management. As Chief Credit Officer for Corebridge’s Investments organization, Andy has credit oversight of Corebridge’s Investment Portfolio across all asset classes and leads the Investment Credit team. He joined Corebridge in 2014 as non-Americas Head of Investment Credit in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department and in 2017 was appointed as ERM Head of Investments Credit. Prior to Corebridge, Andrew spent 24 years at Barclays in various leadership positions in credit risk and portfolio management, structuring, treasury and corporate and real estate lending.
Andy received his MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. He is a former Board Member of the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers.

Previously, Ruth worked at MetLife for 13 years where she held a variety of Investment roles, most recently as Global Head of Insurance Asset Management. In this role, Ruth was responsible for the execution of investment strategies for the MetLife general account and development of strategic solutions for insurance company third party clients. This included management of multi-strategy portfolios across public and private assets, market strategy as well as insurance advisory services. Before joining MetLife, Ruth spent ten years at Gordian Knot Limited, a London-based fixed income asset manager specializing in investment grade credit. At Gordian Knot Ruth held several roles from structured finance credit analyst to senior portfolio manager.
Ruth holds an LL.D. Xiaowei Han joined TIAA as the Head of ALM in Feb 2019. She leads the Asset Liability Management function and the construction of economic capital framework. Before joining TIAA, Xiaowei had worked in Transamerica since 2008 with experience in variable annuities, fixed annuities, universal life, retirement & pension, and institutional business. During her time in Transamerica, Xiaowei led the universal life valuation and modelling function. She also headed the Enterprise ALM function which focuses on holistic hedging/ALM management, General Account asset and derivative modelling, and aggregated ALM reporting across all lines of business. Prior to this role, she was a Financial Risk Manager who was responsible for identifying financial risk in ALM/Hedging strategies, modelling and pricing to the annuities, retirement, and institutional business.
